Vern went on his annual Javelina Hunt with his Dad, brother Aaron and brother-in-law Alex. They previous 2 years had been washed out literally, so they were hoping for something good. It was also the last hunt before Aaron was to be shipped away to the Marines. Well, this is Vern's year for hunting because he got a javelina a the first day. He was quite happy. Meghan was so happy for her dad and told everyone..."My daddy killed a pig!" I am reading the Little House Series and she reminds me of Laura when her pa kills something.
